We believe that it is necessary to articulate and effectively communicate with our franchisor on a unified, rather than individual basis, issues that are of a general concern to each and every Quizno’s franchisee, particularly the need for fair and competitive food costs. "Class Action Update...
On December 19 and 20, 2011, all parties engaged in voluntary judicial mediation in Toronto to explore the possibility of settlement. Class counsel, the class representatives and a representative for current Quiznos franchisees met with GFS and Quiznos representatives and attempted to broker a deal that would suit all parties. Ultimately, a settlement agreement could not be reached. The case is currently proceeding toward trial.“

  • Cold Stone Franchisees File Lawsuit Against Company 27 Jan 2012 | 2:26 pm

    A group of Cold Stone Creamery franchisees filed a lawsuit against the company this week over a dispute relating to the company’s Flexible Marketing Plan (FMP) and gift-card breakage policy.

    The law firm of Zarco Einhorn Salkowski & Brito, P.A. filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on behalf of the National Association of Cold Stone Creamery Franchisees (NIACCF).

  • Del Taco Inks Development Deal in Fort Worth 27 Jan 2012 | 6:37 am

    Del Taco announced today that it has signed a three-unit development deal with DT Restaurants of Texas.

    The first Del Taco location will be at Hawk’s Creek Center, 520 State Highway 183 in Fort Worth, and is expected to open in April.

    This latest announcement is part of the continuing expansion of the popular chain into the Dallas/Fort Worth market. In 2010, Del Taco announced plans to expand in the market with approximately 80 restaurants.
